For Showcase + Digital Drop Artists

We have two major showcases per year, our spring showcase is called #OTVTonight and has run at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago for over 6 years. Thematically, this showcase has a global lens and showcases pieces from around the world. Our fall showcase is called Deep Focus. It rotates venues and has taken place at The Chicago Cultural Center, Gene Siskel Film Center, and Soho House Chicago. Thematically, our fall showcase focuses on pieces from the Midwest. 

Our showcases are an opportunity for artists to see their work on the big screen, get real time feedback from audience members via our surveys built into the program, and tell their story in their own words. All showcases feature a live q&a with the featured artists, are filmed, and photographed. 

Showcases are also an opportunity to build promotional buzz before the upcoming digital drop. Unless otherwise discussed, all pieces exhibited in showcases are released on the #OTVAPP in the nearest upcoming drop. 

The Showcase and Digital Drop Process:

  1. Submit through: HERE

  2. Meet with the Development X Exhibition Team to through the showcase strategy.  

  3. Review Contract video: Contract Clause Walk-through Video

  4. Review Contract FAQs

  5. Sign: Docu-sign Contract (sent via email)

  6. Complete: Payment Paperwork: Vendor Form

    1. All payments will be made through Bill.com

  7. Complete: Marketing Intake form via Submittable

    1. Add pre-roll + post-roll to the submitted final project. 

  8. Marketing: Receive Marketing Kit

    2. OTV NEW RELEASE MARKETING PROMO KIT - General

  9. Marketing: receive at least 3 dedicated posts across OTV’s social media platforms. 

  10. Marketing: Artist posts and promotes their own project to drive viewership. 

  11. Exhibition: Receive travel information

    1. Once accepted into an OTV showcase, you will receive logistical details on travel including lodging if applicable and how to be reimbursed for any travel required.

  12. Exhibition: Receive Showcase specs

    1. Once accepted into an OTV showcase, you will receive a marketing kit detailing the time, location, program, comps process, OTV posting schedule, sample copy, marketing assets, and more.  If applicable you will also receive details on how to stream your release once it is dropped on the #OTVAPP
