ARTIST DEVELOPMENT:

We prioritize helping storytellers develop intersectional media from development to release. Our primary function is support. We offer project consultation, development programs and digital distribution opportunities to support the amplification of intersectional storytelling. In addition to providing a wealth of industry-related resources we also help artists establish a plan and trajectory for their careers and works. 

For OTV, a project enters development when we've met with the artist and mutually agreed to collaborate on a specific project. The artist may have been accepted through a program (such as OTVFELLOWS, STUDYHALL, BRAVEFUTURES, etc.) or by submitting a completed project (from inception to post-production) via OTVDISTRO. Beyond these opportunities, the OTV DEVELOPMENT TEAM hosts quarterly open calls for general development meeting requests to support artists in the multiverse community.  Artists can also request a Marketing + Exhibition Meeting to discuss marketing goals and consultations. And as always, there are numerous  #OTVCOMMUNITY activations to delve deeper into the multiverse.

Once we've anchored with an artist on a specific project in development, we provide consultation on various production aspects, including crew selection, post-production contacts, marketing strategies, festival financing, and more. In essence, once we embark on development with you, we're committed to being a resource throughout the journey of developing you and your work, even after its release or the conclusion of your fellowship. We embrace an expansive approach to the nuances of the development process! 😄

Additionally, OTV occasionally offers feedback on careers, projects, next steps, scripts, pitch decks, treatments, etc., depending on the time of year and our capacity. For more information, please reach out to our Development house.
